About the event

This event is held by (Re)Birth Society– a community-led non-profit organization committed to justice, wellness, education, and empowerment. As stated in (Re)Birth’s Total Wellness Initiative, we strongly support the reclamation and restoration of African-Indigenous spiritual traditions and religions, which we believe can help provide healing and empowerment to our community. We hope to make this an annual celebratory event.

In addition to our lineup of activities and entertainment, we will be using this event to conduct interviews and add to our archives kept of the Hoodoo/African-Indigenous folks of today and those who came before us.

______

A portion of the event will be dedicated to story weaving and we encourage attendees to consider the following:

What are some of the encouraging words that our ancestors and elders have left us to pass on? What kind of future are we envisioning for our descendants? What are some of our ancestors “wildest” dreams that we are seeing into fruition?

This is a family friendly event and we will have a designated kids area. We are also accepting donated kids items for arts and crafts or even repurposed toys.

For Sponsors and Partnership tiers:

*Sponsors must be either Hoodoos or black-led + heavily engaged in African-American liberation.*

Tier 1: Sponsor with products and services for gift basket giveaway. Tier 1 sponsors will be mentioned during the giveaway portion of the event, as well as in select promotions.

Tier 2: Sponsors of $50 and more will have their logos featured on the sponsorship banner during the event. We will also include sponsors in our online promotional materials, on the event registration site, as well as in post-event recap media.

Tier 3: Sponsors of $500 and more will have individual posts on our social media page introducing these brands/people/orgs to the community. We will also have individual banners around the event for Tier 3 sponsors. Additionally, Tier 3 sponsors will be included on our website with links to their sites. Tier 3 sponsors will also have an opportunity to make a 3-5 minute introduction during the Commencement.
